Paramotor Training Overview
Welcome to our Paramotor Training program, where we offer a comprehensive 10-day course designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed for an exhilarating journey into the world of motorized paragliding. Our structured training combines both theory and practical classes to ensure you gain a well-rounded understanding of paramotor flying.
Course Breakdown
Days 1 - Introduction to Paramotoring
- Theory: Learn how a paraglider operates, including essential aerodynamics.
- Weather Insights: Understand basic weather patterns and flying conditions to make informed decisions.
- Safety Guidelines: Discover how to choose safe and legally compliant flying sites.
- Paramotor Engine Basics: Gain a general knowledge of the paramotor engine and its components.
Days 2 to 7 - Ground Handling Practice
During this period, you will focus on ground handling to learn how to control the paragliding wing effectively. This hands-on training will ensure you are well-prepared for the next stages of your flying journey.
Days 8 to 10 - Advanced Learning and First Solo Flights
- Mechanical Knowledge: Learn basic mechanical information and maintenance tips for the paramotor engine.
- Ground Handling with Paramotor: Practice ground handling with the paramotor on your back to simulate real flying conditions.
- First Solo Flights: Experience the thrill of your first solo flights while honing proper takeoff and landing techniques.
Important Notes
- Individual Learning Pace: Everyone learns at a different pace. While many students achieve their first short solo flights by the end of the course, please note that completion within 10 days is not guaranteed for every individual. Some may require additional training days for an extra charge.
- Instructor Expertise: Our training is mentored by an experienced paramotor and paragliding pilot with over 25 years in the field, ensuring you receive good instruction and guidance.
- Recognition: At the completion of the course, you will receive a symbolic recognition of your accomplishment. However, please note that this training does not provide any certification.
- Legal Requirements: Currently, no certification is required in Mexico or the USA to fly paramotors legally.
Investment
- Course Fee: The total investment for the 10-day paramotor training is $45,000 Mexican Pesos, which includes all training and equipment needed for the course.
- If you prefer to bring or purchase your own equipment, the fee is $35,000 Mexican Pesos.
Requirements for Paramotor Training
To ensure a successful and positive training experience, we have established the following requirements and guidelines for participants enrolling in our paramotor training program.
Course Duration
- Training Length: The paramotor training course spans 10 days. For optimal progression, it is recommended to complete the training continuously, provided the weather conditions are favorable.
- Flexible Scheduling: In the event that the trainee or mentor requires a short break due to health or personal matters, arrangements can be made through open and respectful communication. However, please keep in mind that the entire course must be completed within 30 days from the starting date.
Health and Fitness Requirements
- Good General Health: All participants must be in good general health to undertake the physical demands of the training.
- Cardiovascular Stamina: Participants should have good cardio stamina, as ground handling sessions may last 4 to 5 hours, especially in warmer weather, and can be physically challenging.
- Weight Carrying Ability: Trainees must be able to carry the paramotor equipment, which weighs between 55 to 70 pounds, for a minimum of 15 to 20 minutes.
Rules of Good Conduct
- Positive Attitude: A cheerful and positive attitude is expected throughout the training. A supportive environment benefits both the trainee and the mentor.
- Open Communication: Establishing good communication with your mentor is essential for teamwork and mutual trust. Trainees are encouraged to ask questions when in doubt.
- Following Instructions: It is crucial for participants to follow the mentor's instructions closely and refrain from taking independent actions or making decisions during practice sessions. If a trainee does not comply with this guideline, the mentor will address the issue. The mentor reserves the right to cancel the training for trainees who repeatedly ignore instructions.
- Substance Policy: Absolutely no alcohol or drugs are permitted during training days. Maintaining a clear mind is essential for safety and effective learning.
